Online Tuition
Heather’s online tuition service takes two different forms; one is project based tuition, with different mini lessons on offer to choose from, and a variety of topics and mediums, inclusive of personalised feedback support and guidance on where and how to improve or find development, and the other is a block of time to receive bespoke feedback and personalised guidance, with practical instruction on your own work in progress, or project you are interested in starting on. Project based tuition – After you purchase a project based tuition voucher, you will receive a project from Heather by email, with detailed instruction, suggested materials to use and guidance on how to follow the project. Once you have created your drawings or paintings, you then photograph your work and send those digital images to Heather. There is guidance below on how to take clear images of your work to send by email. On receipt of your images, Heather will then create a personalised feedback critique and plan of action, to email back to you, to enable you to progress your artwork further. You can also contact Heather halfway through the project, should you need to. This feedback for project based tuition equates to about 15 minutes personal guided tuition, and is in-depth, personal and directive, giving you pointers on which to base further development. Personal project tuition – This flexible option covers a variety of mediums and subjects too, the difference being it responds to your preferred subject or medium, such as beginning a portrait, or how to get going with watercolours, amongst many other elements of art. Heather’s experience as an art teacher is broad and she is happy to provide support in the following media – watercolour paints, acrylic paints, water mixable oil paints, most drawing mediums such as charcoal, coloured pencils, watercolour pencils, chalk pastels, oil pastels. There are many subjects she can give support to, so let her know what your request might be. After an introductory discussion by email about the ‘thing you would like to learn’ Heather will provide you with an instruction lesson, with suggested materials, and a guide to get going. After completing the suggested work, you will send her images of your work by email, and a constructive critique of your work will come back to you, with advice on where and how to improve.
